My good friend Madeleine Ossun just got her real estate license! I helped Madeleine with the sale of a few of her own properties and I suggested she get her license. Now she is jumping in with both feet and will be joining the Coldwell Banker office in San Rafael. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to show her the ropes and get her real estate career jump started. While Coldwell Banker has all the tools needed for agents to excel out of the gate, I’m excited to share some of my tips and tricks with Madeleine. With the right direction, in the right brokerage I don’t think it will take her long to get her first listing and sale!
The San Rafael Coldwell Banker office has really taken off this year. Last year I was the number 2 agent in the office in terms of sales volume (plus the #1 listing agent) and it was a career year for me. This year I’m only slightly off that pace and there are 5 agents ahead of me in volume! I am still the number one listing agent in the office, which is something I expect of myself but it really doesn’t matter where I end up in terms of office production. I’m just pleased to have the opportunities to sell real estate and provide for my family. I look at real estate sales like I look at surfing. As long as I can keep doing it, I’m going to keep doing it because I truly enjoy it.
I’ve got another listing I’m putting on the market in Marin Roundtree this week. This is the third listing of the year there for me, having sold #155 and #38. Now I’ve got #144 and I could not be more appreciative of this opportunity. Nobody has sold more condos in Roundtree than me over the past decade. Just this year there have been 8 sales in Roundtree, and this one should be #9. I hope to show Madeleine how she too can make selling condos a part of a successful business plan. Many Realtors ignore condos, but they are just as important as single family home sales.
Speaking of which, I’ve also got a couple of houses coming on the market in Terra Linda, and another one in Santa Venetia coming on in October. I closed a home at 366 Arias St. a few weeks ago and I’ve basically been getting homes ready for the market since then. One house at 835 Las Pavadas Ave. was kind of in rough shape. We cleaned it out, which took the professionals at Next Day Cleanup a few days. Mike Christy painted the exterior and interior. I’ve got some guys doing the hardwood refinishing as you read this. Once that’s dry we’ll have the house staged with El Green Design and ready for the market.
I’m looking forward to great things this fall!
