I’ve joined the Eichler Network as their exclusive Marin County Realtor! This is a very exciting move for me. They haven’t had a Marin Realtor in a while, as the fit has to be just right. Living in the Miller Creek School District where we have an abundance of Eichlers, I’ve sold a lot of Eichler homes over the course of my career. My Eicher activity this spring includes closing escrow on 17 Serra Way in Terra Linda, in an off-market transaction for $1.465 million dollars, and I’ve currently got 861 Greenberry Lane in contract in Lucas Valley asking $1.999.
While I love selling Eichler built homes because they are so architecturally stunning, being part of the Eichler Network don’t preclude me from selling other style homes. For example, I’ve got a Kenney built home coming on the market in Terra Linda at 853 Las Pavadas Ave in June, and a co-op at 1004A Los Gamos Rd coming on next week. I’ve also got two homes in Novato coming on the market this year, one likely just a few weeks from now. I’ll still sell just about anything and everything from Santa Rosa down to Sausalito, and I enjoy driving out to West Marin and even Sonoma and Napa to sell homes. One of the things I love about selling real estate is how it allows me to work in so many great areas!
I would like to sell a few more Eichlers, especially since there are so many right here in my backyard. I anticipate selling real estate for another 10 years, and possibly longer. I find the experience of selling homes to be very fulfilling, and often challenging. There’s a lot of strategy that goes into selling homes, including how to prepare and market them. Do you sell on the market or off? Once you go on the market do you wait and try to line up multiple offers and risk the best possible offer potentially walking away before your offer date? Or do you look at offers as they come in? What’s the inventory like, and how do you stack up against the other homes on the market in terms of price, location and updates? Every home and each situation is different, and the unique circumstances around each sale makes real estate sales a most intriguing and challenging profession.
Will my involvement with the Eichler Network translate into one or two more Eichler sales per year? Or more? I have no idea. One of my favorite quotes I heard years ago was posted outside the NY Giants locker room on the way out to the gridiron. “Blame no one. Expect nothing. Do Something.” I’m doing something. If there’s one thing I’ve found to be true in my real estate career, we always need to keep evolving by trying new things. Four years ago, I started writing this blog in this space. I’m excited about what the next four years will bring, and the new opportunities awaiting my discovery.
