Mastermind Course: Newsletters and Blogging

Real Estate

In 2020 and 2021, I was the top listing agent in the Coldwell Banker San Rafael office, with 19 and 20 listings respectively. What I do clearly works. In 2009, I made a commitment to producing and distributing my real estate newsletter on a regular basis. I knew I had to do it, otherwise I wasn’t going to be able to make it in the business. My newsletter gave me the ability to use my passion for writing and my industry insight to keep people informed about the local market, and generate business in the process. Most importantly because of the newsletter (and now my blog) I am putting my two daughters through college. I am very grateful to my family, friends, clients and community.

With almost 18 years of real estate sales experience, a Hall of Fame designation at my previous brokerage, and a Master degree in Business Administration, I feel very confident about my abilities. I’ve had good success in the past mentoring agents one on one, often incorporating my newsletter in their training. I’ve also learned that newsletters and blogs aren’t for everyone. It takes a full commitment and patience. It also takes a leap of faith, and a belief in yourself.

I’ve made the decision that in addition to selling real estate, this year I’m going to develop a mastermind-type course on how to make a living writing newsletters and blogs. Realtors have been asking me for years about my newsletters, and now I’m getting asked more than ever. My goal is to spread my knowledge and help other Realtors who want to do what I do become successful. When I help other people succeed, I feel like I am fulfilling my life’s purpose. I am very excited about making this happen!

In the meantime, this week I:

Sold 516 Whitewood Dr in San Rafael, asking $949,000 and closing for $1,100,000.

Put 1410 Banks Ave in Napa into contract with multiple offers asking $749,000.

Put 395 Holly Dr in San Rafael on the market asking $1,095,000. We’ll be looking at offers next week.

Next week, I’ll be putting 632 Tanbark on the market asking $1,295,000 and closing an off market sale at 1744 Las Gallinas for $1,300,000

With all this business, it may be a while before I reach my mastermind goals. I think the second half of the year things will likely loosen up a bit. Right now, I’m enjoying helping my clients, first and foremost.
