My Mission Statement

Real Estate

You may have noticed I added a mission statement to my website this week. Every business should have a mission statement. I’ve had an unwritten mission statement since I started selling real estate, but I never made it official. A mission statement gives you direction and purpose, and let’s your clients and other stakeholders know about your priorities. I wasn’t planning on it, but today I finally wrote out my own mission statement, “Empowering clients with strategies and knowledge to help them achieve their real estate goals while establishing generational relationships.”

My mission isn’t to be #1 Realtor in Marin. I can’t imagine that would be much fun. I like to keep my business manageable and I like to let me clients know I’ll be there for them in the future. Since I first got my license in 2004 I’ve approached the real estate market with the idea of leveraging knowledge to gain competitive advantages and drive decision making. As I’ve gained experience and I approach my third decade of real estate sales, I recently realized something was missing while working with one family in particular.

Last year I sold a home to someone’s son. His mother is will be selling a house with me soon. That got me thinking about the generational aspect to my business. As the best Realtors get older, they not only maintain relationships with their clients, but their clients also refer them to their own families for real estate assistance.

I see myself as one of the best real estate resources in Marin County, not only for my clients but other Realtors from different brokerages, as they regularly come to me for advice. I’ve officially and unofficially mentored quite a few Realtors over the years. I’m here to help and serve.

I don’t believe in pushing people into a sale. The last thing buyers or sellers need is a Realtor giving them more pressure than they already have when making a decision that will fundamentally alter their lives. I take a low-key approach to selling real estate and mostly work with sellers. The majority of the buyers I work with have been referred to me, or I already have a relationship with them. I’m always open to working with new clients, and I look forward to helping everyone realize their real estate goals.
